What certificates do I need to do business with my company?
When your company is registered, you will get the following company certificates:
- the incorporation certificate with the registration number (HE number)
- the company's office address certificate
- the company's directors and secretaries certificate
- the company's shareholders' certificate
With these certificates, you can already sign contracts for your company. For example, to rent an office, register for water/electricity, subscribe to an internet plan, or, more importantly, open a bank account.
To write invoices or for cross-border payments, you better wait for your tax identification code (TIC) and your VAT registration. Both will be applied right after your successful company registration and can take up to 2 weeks. Also, online banks will likely ask for your TIC when opening an account.
Tip: A company stamp may be helpful as well.
